About what I’m not really sure.  I realize that Virgin Mobile’s IP blocks may make it appear as though they’re based in CA(which they might in fact, be), but even still, why does the speedtest to San Francisco produce a faster result than the test to the local Chicago site?  

If I’m in Chicago, wouldn’t a speedtest to a local site produce faster results regardless of where the provider’s IP blocks are registered?
